About the race
The Fifth Annual NICHOLAS AIR 5K takes place in Oxford, Mississippi on October 3, 2026, at the NICHOLAS AIR Headquarters, 300 S Lamar Ct. The event includes in-person and virtual 3.1 mile options and a dedicated entry category for First Responders. Registration opens August 1, 2026. The in-person race registration period for the main event closes August 29, 2026, and the virtual run registration closes August 22, 2026.
The organizer describes different price levels by registration period, with early registration listed at $35 and day-of registration at $50. First Responders are invited to participate free of charge. All participants receive a commemorative T-shirt and a medal. Day-of check-in for the in-person event begins at 8:00 a.m.
Parking is available at the lot across the street from the NICHOLAS AIR Headquarters. After the in-person event, refreshments including cold beer and light food are provided at a cool-down area in the NICHOLAS AIR parking lot. The in-person route begins at the NICHOLAS AIR office on 300 S Lamar Blvd, proceeds down Belk Blvd, connects to Frontage Road and Access Road, turns right onto S 18th St, returns to Belk Blvd, then turns left onto Elliott Dr and finishes back at the office parking lot.
