#NFStrong - North Kansas City

#NFStrong - North Kansas City is a community focused event held at William E. Macken Park in North Kansas City, Missouri. The event is organized by the NF Network to raise awareness and support for individuals and families affected by neurofibromatosis (NF), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to form on nerves throughout the body.

The event features scenic views within Macken Park and emphasizes community support over competitive racing. Participants can engage with the event to help promote scientific research and outreach services for the NF community.

Available participation options include:

  • 5K
  • Virtual 5K

The in-person assembly takes place at the Festival Pavilion. For those unable to attend at the physical location, a virtual option is available where participants can select their own time and place to run or walk. Registration for the physical event includes different pricing tiers such as early bird and regular pricing. Fundraising through personal pledge pages is encouraged for all participants.
