The Nexus School Steps for Success 5k Race and Fun Run
The Nexus School Steps for Success is a community athletic event held in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. The event takes place on the grounds of The Nexus School and the surrounding local roads. Proceeds from the event are used to support the creation of a sensory room for students on the Autism Spectrum, providing a therapeutic and engaging space.
Participants can choose between two primary distances:
- 5k Road Race
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The 5k race is professionally timed by Pretzel City Sports. Registration and number pickup are available on the morning of the event starting at 8:00 a.m. Pre-registration is available online until the Wednesday prior to the race, and mail-in registration is also accepted. A race shirt is included for those who register by the early deadline, while participants registering later receive shirts while supplies last.
Awards are presented to the overall first male and female finishers in the 5k. Additionally, Nexus Hats are awarded to the top male and female finishers in several age categories, ranging from 14 and under to 60 and over.
