Newton Pride Monster Dash 5K
The Newton Pride Monster Dash comprises a certified 5K road race and a separate 1 mile fun run held in Newton, New Jersey. The course for the 5K is USATF certified and runs through Ryerson, Plainfield, and Linwood, with the start and finish at Newton High School, 44 Ryerson Ave.

The event includes a costume contest, overall awards for top male and female finishers, and age group awards for these groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. Proceeds support the Newton Pride Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that benefits students at Newton High School.
