Newton Pride Monster Dash 5K
The Newton Pride Monster Dash is a Halloween themed community running event in Newton, New Jersey. It features a certified 5K course that winds through the streets of Ryerson, Plainfield, and Linwood and both starts and finishes at Newton High School. A separate Fun Run option is available for participants of all ages.
The event includes a costume contest, prizes, and awards for top overall finishers by gender as well as age group awards for the following divisions: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 and older. The format is presented as a community celebration with elements appropriate for families and individual runners.
Proceeds support the Newton Pride Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on enriching the educational experience at Newton High School. The standard registration fee is $25.
