Newton Pride Monster Dash 5K
The Newton Pride Monster Dash 5K is a Halloween themed 5K and fun run held in Newton. The event uses a certified 5K course that starts and finishes at the Newton High School parking lot and proceeds through Ryerson, Plainfield, and Linwood roads before returning to the school.
The event format includes both a timed 5K and a fun run element. Costumes are encouraged and prizes are awarded to overall 5K finishers as well as top male and female finishers in the following age groups: 19 and under, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 plus. Certificates are provided for these award categories.
The event is presented by the Newton Pride Foundation and supports the Newton Pride Education Foundation.
