Newburyport Maudslay Turkey Trot 5K
The Newburyport Maudslay Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running event held on Thursday, November 26, 2026, at Maudslay State Park in Newburyport, MA. The event is a 5K cross-country run/walk open to runners and walkers of all ages.
In 2026 the Will Run for Pie 5K joins the Maudslay Turkey Trot as a single race at Maudslay State Park. Winners Circle Running Club is partnering with Joppa Flats Running Club to support the event; Joppa Flats Running Club will lead the event in 2026 and Winners Circle Running Club will assume stewardship beginning in 2027. There will not be a separate Will Run for Pie race in Salisbury in 2026.
The event is described as affordable and family-friendly. One hundred percent of net proceeds are donated to local charitable organizations, including Our Neighbors’ Table, The Pettengill House, and area food pantries.
Registration fees are specified by category: adults 18 and older, students 18 and younger, and a reduced rate for Bresnahan School Running Club students in Pre-K through Grade 3. The first 900 registered participants receive a race shirt. Bib and shirt pickup is offered at RiverWalk Brewing Company for early pickup and at the white garage across from the Maudslay State Park parking lot on Thanksgiving morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
