Summer Riverfront 6K : Riverfront Purpose Runners 2026
The Summer Riverfront 6K is the second race in the Four Seasons Run Series. It is organized by Purpose Runners Foundation in partnership with Insight Run Club, Newark City Parks Foundation, Newark Riverfront Park, and the Town of Harrison. The event finishes at Newark Riverfront Park and is described as a point-to-point course that runs along the waterfront; the 6K course is USATF certified and described as relatively flat.

Event features include chip timing, live race results, a personalized bib for registrations made three or more weeks in advance, a finisher medal for all runners, marked course with water stations, free professional race photos, a wellness recovery station, live DJ and music, sponsor giveaways, and a post-run social experience. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers and across multiple age groups. Limited free event shirts are available for the first 100 registrants and collection edition shirts are offered for purchase during registration.
