New York City Duathlon : Central Park
The 41st New York City Duathlon takes place in Central Park in New York City with the transition area located at the Central Park Boathouse parking lot at 945 5th Ave. The event includes individual and team relay entries and is not USAT certified or sanctioned; a USAT racing license is not required.
The duathlon course consists of two out-and-back runs and a two-loop bike course. Run segments start and finish along the east side of the park with a turnaround by the 96th Street Margret L Kempner Playground, shortly after the crosswalk. The run includes a climb up Cat Hill near the start. The bike segment covers the full Central Park Drive for two complete loops, including Harlem Hill, with about 300 feet of elevation gain per loop. The park remains open to the public during the event, so participants should be aware of other park users.
A team relay option is offered where two to three athletes split the three race legs: one athlete runs the first leg, another rides the bike leg, and a third athlete runs the final leg. Registration opens on December 21, 2025 and closes on March 31, 2026. Fee information is published for individual and team relay entries. Volunteers are required for race operations and must sign out to receive race credit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
