The New Years Day 5K & Half Marathon takes place on January 1, 2026, in Cumming, Georgia. The event uses North Forsyth Middle School at 3645 Coal Mountain Rd as the venue. Distances offered include:

Course and race logistics
The course is certified and described by the organizer as mostly flat. Chip timing will be used for start and finish. Water stations are provided at approximately every 1.5 miles. Packet pickup is held on race morning beginning one hour before the race. The event cap is 500 participants.
Registration and fees
Registration prices vary by period. Regular registration is listed at $26; race day registration is listed at $31. Preview and early-bird prices are lower; late registration and race day fees are higher. Race shirts are available for an additional $25. Participants who register by December 22 are guaranteed race swag in their size.

Overall and age-group awards are planned, with age groups in five-year increments beginning at 10 & under; top overall and masters categories are listed. Virtual participants receive a finisher medal and may submit results online by the end of January 1. The 2026 charity partner is Georgia K9 Search & Recovery. Volunteers receive benefits including five free races and the opportunity to earn a $50 gift card under specified recruitment conditions.
