New Vision 5K
The New Vision 5K is a community run/walk held in Loveland, Colorado, that raises funds for New Vision Charter School in the Thompson School District. The event supports the school wellness program, which focuses on student education about nutrition and exercise and provides ongoing wellness opportunities for staff and students.
The wellness committee organizes several activities during the school year, including a Wellness night, monthly health challenges, pedometer challenges, and a running club. Funds from the event have supported a range of projects at the school, such as grief journals, emotions journals, flexible seating, a tower garden, a running path around the soccer field, drumfit equipment, and the Lu projector for the new gym. Funds have also helped to support Wellness Night.
