New England Ostomy 5K - October 4, 2026
The event is a community run and walk held at Wallis Sands State Park in Rye Beach, New Hampshire, presented as part of Ostomy Awareness Day. The program includes a seaside 5K event plus a kids activity and a short children’s dash. Proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc. (UOAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; donations are tax deductible.
Registration options and fees are listed for different participant types. Typical fees shown are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the children’s dash; volunteer registration is free. Registration opens in March 2026 and closes on different dates depending on the entry type. Registered participants receive a unisex T-shirt and a bib as part of the registration fee.
Event-day services include packet pickup, a raffle, awards and medals in age-group categories, and a kids activity table. Medals are awarded by age group and for top ostomate finishers. Fundraising is encouraged: raising $125 or more leads to a refund of the registration fee, and higher fundraising tiers are recognized with additional awards. A referral program offers a partial refund for recruiting multiple participants. Optional event registration protection insurance is available for an additional fee.
