Event details
New Earswick Urban takes place on Sunday 28th December. The event base is New Earswick Bowling Club, Huntington Road, York, YO32 9PX (GR SE611550, What3words: active.assume.always). Entries close at 23:59 on 27th December and there is no entry on the day. To guarantee a map, enter by midnight on Sunday 14th December 2025; entries after that date may be accepted subject to a supplement and map availability. Car sharing is available. Dogs are not allowed.
Courses and fees
Courses listed with course distances and optimum lengths:
- Course 1: 6.4 km (optimum 8.3 km)
- Course 2: 5.0 km (optimum 6.5 km)
- Course 3: 3.9 km (optimum 5.0 km)
- Course 4: 3.1 km (optimum 4.0 km)
- Course 5: 1.2 km (optimum 1.6 km)
Course 5 is intended for juniors and family groups. Courses 1 and 2 have back-to-back maps. Participants may run any course, but recommended classes are shown. Juniors under 16 on the day may only enter Course 5. Juniors are defined as under 21 on 31st December.
From 15th October standard fees apply: Seniors £12, Junior/Student £6, non BOF member supplement £2, senior chip hire £1, junior chip hire £0.50. From 15th December late fees apply: Seniors £14, Junior/Student £7; senior chip hire £1, junior chip hire £0.50. All courses are subject to final controlling.
Leg protection is strongly advised on adult courses. Participants should avoid olive green areas marked as private land. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
