New Belgium Half Marathon & 5k
The New Belgium Half Marathon and 5k is a running event hosted by the Colorado Brewery Running Series in Fort Collins, Colorado. Both the start and finish lines are located near the New Belgium Brewing Company on Linden Street. The course follows an out-and-back route along the Poudre Trail, winding mostly along the Poudre River.
The event offers two main distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5k
The half marathon is a chip-timed race open to participants aged 14 and older. The course is described as mostly flat and features aid stations positioned every 2 to 2.5 miles. The 5k is an untimed fun run that welcomes participants of various ages, including children under 12 who can participate for free. Dogs and running strollers are permitted for the 5k distance.
Participants receive a finisher's medal and a commemorative shirt, with tech shirts provided for half marathon runners and T-shirts for 5k runners when registered by the September deadline. All participants aged 21 and over receive a craft beer at the finish line, while younger participants receive a non-alcoholic beverage. A bag check service is available at the site. The venue offers limited parking for approximately 350 vehicles, with additional overflow parking available within a 5-15 minute walk in Old Town Fort Collins.
