New Albany Independence Day 5k
The New Albany Independence Day 5k is an annual community event presented by the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and IVIM Health in New Albany, Ohio. The event takes place at 180 Market Street, New Albany, OH 43054, and includes multiple race and family activities held on July 4.
Event formats include a 5K walk run jog, a competitive 5k walk, a virtual 5K option, a 1 4 mile Kids Fun Run, a 20 yard Toddler Crawl and a Pet Parade. The event program features live music and dance performances along the course, an emcee at the start and finish area, and race beneficiaries providing course-side cheering.
Participants in the 5K receive official Independence Day t shirts in youth and adult sizes. Kids Fun Run participants also receive shirts plus patriotic goodies and Bomb Pops. A dedicated kids area offers temporary tattoos and a balloon artist. Race operations list state of the art chip timing and custom race bibs, and post race food and drinks are provided.
