New Albany Independence Day 5K
The New Albany Independence Day 5K is scheduled for July 4, 2026, with the start and finish at Market Square, 180 Market Street, New Albany, OH 43054. The event program includes an in-person 5K run and walk, a Kids FUN Run, a Toddler Crawl, a Pet Parade, and a Virtual 5K option. The New Albany community parade follows the race.
Registered 5K participants receive an official District soft cotton patriotic t-shirt in youth and adult sizes when registered by June 16; Kids FUN Run participants also receive shirts and medals. The event uses chip timing and custom race bibs. Music will be provided at the start and finish areas and live music will be present along the race course. Post-race food and drinks will be available and cookies are supplied by Cheryl's Cookies.
Early packet pickup is offered on July 3, 2026 at Marburn Academy, 9555 Johnstown Rd., New Albany. On-site registration is available on race day. A range of registration fees apply for the 5K, Kids FUN Run, Toddler Crawl, Pet Parade, and Virtual 5K, and several sponsorship levels are offered from presenting sponsor to flag sponsor, with associated visibility and benefits.
