Nevada County Turkey Trot 2026
The Nevada County Turkey Trot is a Thanksgiving Day running and walking event held at Hooper Stadium, Nevada Union High School in Grass Valley, CA. The event program includes a mix of trail and street terrain that circles the school grounds and follows the Litton Hill Trail.
The event features these races and activities:
- 5K Walk
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- Kids Race (no registration required)
Packet pickup is available the day before the event at the Nevada Union Wrestling gym for participants to collect shirts and race bibs. Strollers are allowed on the walk course. Pets are not permitted on the course.
Entry fees are set by age and by registration date. Before November 18, 2026 prices are $25 for persons 15 and older and $12 for children 14 and under, and the fee includes a tee-shirt. After November 18, 2026 the same prices apply and tee-shirts are not included.
Awards are presented for first through third place in each age group. Proceeds from the event support local organizations working on community health and related services. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
