About the race
The Nepean Triathlon is presented as Australia’s oldest triathlon, first held in 1982 and staged at the Sydney International Regatta Centre since 1999. The event is part of the Redline Games Festival and offers multiple race formats and distances across swim, bike and run disciplines for a wide range of competitors, including elite athletes, age groupers, first-timers and long‑time participants. Race formats and representative distances: - Nepean: 1km swim, 30km bike, 8km run - Classic: 2km swim, 60km bike, 18km run - Classic Aquabike: 2km swim, 60km bike (no run) - Sprint: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run - Super Sprint: 200m swim, 8km bike, 2.5km run - TriKidz 10-11: 150m swim, 5km bike, 1.5km run - TriKidz 7-9: 100m swim, 3km bike, 1km run - TriKidz 5-6: 50m swim, 1km bike, 500m run The Classic distance is described as a long-course endurance challenge across scenic Western Sydney terrain. The Nepean distance is identified as the original race and a central feature of the event.
