Event Details
The Neilston Pad Race will take place on Saturday, 2 May 2026. The event starts from the Neilston Show field in Neilston. There is no on-the-day registration.
Course Description
The event uses a route from last year's 200th anniversary special, covering approximately 5.6 miles (9 km). The route features road, path, and trail surfaces, including a short and steep climb to the top of the Pad. Parts of the course will be muddy, and off-road shoes are strongly advised. The planned route may be changed due to storm damage or forestry work. The race is primarily a trail run with varied terrain. Runners outside a generous cut-off time may be asked to bypass the Pad summit section.
Facilities and Entry
Entry to the Neilston Show is included with race registration. Basic changing facilities are available. Runners can leave bags in the race tent, but it is not advised to leave valuable items.
Participation Requirements
Entrants must be 16 years of age or older. The total number of places is 150. No refunds will be given unless the race is cancelled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
