Neilston Pad Race

The Neilston Pad Race is a trail running event held in Scotland as part of the Neilston Agricultural Show. The course covers a distance of 4.5 miles and begins at the Neilston Show field, located on Uplawmoor Road. The route circles the Neilston Pad and passes through one of the highest villages in Scotland.

Participants encounter a variety of surfaces throughout the race, including public roads, paths, and trails. The terrain features a significant climb and areas with mud. Because of the multi-terrain nature of the course, off-road shoes are recommended for all runners. The route primarily follows a standard path, though adjustments may be made based on local forestry work.

Registration takes place at the Pad Race Tent on the show field. Basic changing facilities are available for participants, and a tent is provided for bag storage. All participants must be at least 16 years of age to enter. Every race entry includes access to the Neilston Agricultural Show, which features livestock displays and other agricultural attractions following the conclusion of the run.
