Neil McCover Memorial Half Marathon 2026

The Neil McCover Memorial Half Marathon takes place on 15 February 2026 and is the 14th running of the event. It is organised by Kirkintilloch Olympians with support from Police Scotland and East Dunbartonshire Council. The race runs through parts of the scenic countryside of East Dunbartonshire on public roads and pavements and the course is undulating. The event is held under UK Athletics rules and is a Scottish Athletics licensed event. It forms part of a new Kirkintilloch Festival of Running, with a 12.5k and a 5k fun run on the same day; entrants may only enter one event. Total places are limited to 200.

Entry fees for the half marathon are £20 for SAL/UKA registered runners and £22 for non-UKA/SAL registered runners (includes a £2 SAL levy). There are no entries on the day and no refunds. Registration is held outside Gartconner Primary School, Gartshore Road, Kirkintilloch. There are no changing facilities; portaloos will be used. All runners will receive a commemorative buff.
