Neil McCover Memorial Half Marathon
The Neil McCover Memorial Half Marathon takes place on 14 February 2027 and is the 15th running of this event. It is organised by Kirkintilloch Olympians with the support of Police Scotland and East Dunbartonshire Council. The event is part of a new Kirkintilloch Festival of Running and is held under UK Athletics rules as a Scottish Athletics licensed event.
The course runs through scenic countryside in East Dunbartonshire, and is held on public roads and pavements with undulating terrain. The event includes multiple distance options on the same day, but entrants may only enter one event:
- Half marathon
- 12.5k
- 5k fun run
Registration is located outside Gartconner Primary School on Gartshore Road. There are no changing facilities; portable toilets will be provided. Participants should aim to complete the half marathon in under 2.5 hours, as marshals may be withdrawn after that time.
Entry fees for the half marathon are £20 for SAL/UKA registered runners and £23 for non-UKA/SAL registered runners (includes a £3 SAL levy). There are a total of 150 places. No entries are accepted on the day and no refunds are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
