Neewollah 5K and 10K
The event in Independence, Kansas includes certified 5K and 10K road races and a school Fun Run of 1 mile. Distances offered:

Entry fees for the 5K and 10K are $25. Pre-registration received on or before October 1 includes a t-shirt; registrations received after October 1 remain $25 but do not include a t-shirt. Online registration for the Fun Run is limited to Independence school children in grades K-8. A free t-shirt is provided to the first 200 K-8 students who register by September 25 and check in on race day. The 10K requires participants to be 13 years of age or older.
The event provides race day packet pickup only and takes place rain or shine. Refreshments are provided after the race. Awards for the 5K and 10K include male and female overall winners and the top three in each age group by gender. Age groups are 12 and under (5K only), 13 through 18, 19 through 29, 30 through 39, 40 through 49, 50 through 59, 60 through 69, and 70 and over. Dogs are not allowed in the 5K, 10K, or Fun Run. An awards presentation follows the Fun Run and the event schedule includes a Chili Cook-Off and Dessert Contest after the races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
