Needham Boosters Club Rocket Run 5K and 1 Mile
The Needham Boosters Club Rocket Run takes place Sunday, March 29, 2026 in Needham, MA at 609 Webster Street. The event includes the following distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- 1 Mile Walk
The 5K is a USATF certified course that starts and finishes at Needham High School front entrance drive. The route proceeds along Webster Street, High Street which becomes Greendale Avenue, Brookline Street, Manning Street, Otis Street and returns to Webster Street before re-entering the high school drive for the finish. Mile markers are noted at 1 mile near 227 Greendale driveway, 2 miles at Mitchell School, and 3 miles at 673 Webster on the left. Walk participants are asked to keep to the sidewalk.
Water is provided on the 5K route near the 1 mile mark on Greendale Avenue and near the 2.5 mile mark at Manning and Holland. Awards are given in youth boys and girls, high school boys and girls, and adult men and women categories.
Registration options include adult, high school, and youth fees; a donation only option is also listed. The first 100 registrants receive a free t-shirt. Pre-registered participants may pick up bibs on Friday, March 27 at Run House, or pick them up on race day.
