Ned's Wish Heroes Run 2026 Bandit 5 km
This is the sixth annual Heroes Run, a dog friendly fundraising event held to honour RCMP police dog Bandit. The event offers a 5 km option at several in person locations across Canada and a virtual option for participants who wish to run remotely.
In person sites are hosted at Ace's K-9 Care, 5877 Leslie Road, Prince George BC; York Regional Police at Tom Taylor Trail, Newmarket ON; RCMP Police Dog Service Training Centre near the Starbucks on Sharpe Ave, Red Deer AB; Canine Heroes Kennel, 10046 Grey Road, Coldstream BC; and a public park location to be confirmed in Langley BC. Each in person site features a 5 km course. The virtual option allows participants to run locally and join community activities online.
The Prince George event includes a pet fair with vendor booths, food trucks, and a puppy yoga session with same morning registration. Registration choices include a swag package or a no swag option. The 2026 swag includes a t shirt designed by Thiessens Tattoo and a limited edition PSD Bandit memorial challenge coin; quantities are limited and virtual swag may not arrive before race day.
Proceeds from the Heroes Run support retired police and military service dogs across Canada. Registration with swag is CA$100 and without swag is CA$55; some registration options allow transfers but not cancellations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
