About the Event
The Mother's Day 5k, organized by the Prince George Road Runners, serves as a celebratory road race held at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park. Formerly known as The Gathering, the event is positioned as a kick-off to Mother's Day celebrations. The course is a 5 km route on asphalt and concrete surfaces with a total elevation gain of 30.5 meters.
The race follows a point-to-point road format consisting of two loops around the park. It begins and ends at the park bandshell, utilizing Taylor Drive along the riverbank and southern edge, Ingledew Street, and 17th Avenue along the northern edge of the park.

Registration fees and donations from this event are contributed to the Wheelin’ Warriors of the North fundraising effort for the BC Cancer Foundation. This initiative is partnered with the Cops for Cancer cycling team to support the Canadian Cancer Society and the Kordyban Lodge, which provides assistance to patients in the Northern BC community.
Participants are required to register in advance or on the day of the event. For safety and liability reasons, dogs and headphones are not permitted on the course. The event is open to both club members and non-members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
