Heights Fiver
The Heights Fiver is a road race held in the College Heights neighbourhood of Prince George. As the opening event of the Prince George Road Runners (PGRR) race season, it takes place on asphalt and concrete surfaces, including residential roads and sidewalks. The routes feature a total elevation gain of 14 meters.
The event offers two main distances for participants:
- 5 km
- 5 miles (8 km)
The 5 km route starts at the Kool Cats Kid Care parking lot and travels through Gladstone, Guelph Cres, Domano Blvd, Malaspina, Rochester Cres, and Loyola Dr before reaching a turnaround point on Malaspina. The 8 km route follows the same initial path but extends further down the hill to include a loop through Creekside and Stillwater Cres before heading to its respective turnaround point.
Race registration and bib pick-up are located at 6989 Gladstone Drive. A free children's race is also provided as part of the event schedule. Due to safety and liability requirements, participants are asked to leave headphones and dogs at home. Registration fees must be paid in cash on the day of the event and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
