NEDNED Trail Fest
The NEDNED Trail Fest is a long-standing running event held in Nederland, Colorado, situated at an elevation of 8,236 feet. The event has been held for over 40 years and offers three distinct course options for participants. The race takes place at 151 East Street and supports TEENS, Inc., an organization focusing on early childhood education, youth job training, and leadership development.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The Half Marathon and 10K courses consist of dirt roads and single-track trails. These routes are reserved for runners and immerse participants in the local landscape. The 5K is a road-based course that is open to families. Participants in the 5K may run with dogs, provided they are on a leash, and the use of costumes is permitted for this distance.
This is a cupless event to promote sustainability. No cups are provided at aid stations on the course; participants are required to bring their own hydration vessels or may obtain a reusable cup during registration for use at the event. Bib pickup is organized at TEENS, Inc. on the morning of the event, with different time slots allocated for the various distances. Parking is available within the town of Nederland.
