Event Overview
The NCYMCA's Pie Run is an annual Thanksgiving Day event hosted by the Newport County YMCA in Middletown, Rhode Island. The event was originally founded in 1985 by the Newport Running Club and is sanctioned by USATF. It typically draws over 2,000 participants.

Charity and Community Impact
The event collects non-perishable food donations for the MLK Community Center and coat donations for area organizations. It also raises funds for the YMCA's Community Support Campaign, which supports life-changing programs and scholarships. A coat drive is presented by the Island Interact Leadership Club.
