About the race
This event is a charity 5K run and walk hosted by the North Coast Healthcare Collaborative in lakefront Sandusky, Ohio. The race takes place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the Sandusky Bay Pavilion in Sandusky. It is organized to raise funds for the foundations of Firelands Health, Fisher-Titus, and Magruder Hospital. The North Coast Healthcare Collaborative will use proceeds to support patient services, acquire medical equipment, and fund research to prevent, diagnose, and cure breast cancer.
The event notes that breast cancer is the most common reportable cancer among women in Ohio and accounts for 28 percent of all cancers diagnosed in women in the state. Donations from friends and family who do not participate in the race are encouraged. Pre-registration and day-of registration fees are stated as $25 and $27 respectively. Race t-shirts are available only for participants who register by September 20, 2026.
