Coast to Coaster Road Race
Coast to Coaster is a long-distance road event in Ohio held April 22 to April 24, 2027, with a newly offered 100 mile option. The main route covers approximately 232 miles and runs on public roads; participants are expected to be self-reliant and manage their own supplies, rest, and safety. The event passes through towns with stores, restaurants, and hotels that can be used strategically by participants.
All participants receive GPS trackers and a shareable tracking link for friends and family. Crews are permitted to carry supplies and crewed runners may shelter in their crew vehicle, but runners may not be transported by any vehicle. Safety is emphasized; anyone whose behavior endangers themselves or others can be removed from the course. Participants are expected to treat other runners and local residents with respect.
A 100 mile option starts on Saturday, April 24 at Kings Island in Mason, Ohio and is an out and back on the same corridor; this option is run almost entirely on multi use trail. Participants who request a ride and hotel leave their vehicle at Kings Island the day before and are transported with a hotel arranged near the start in Sandusky. Registration closes April 18, 2027.
