Coast to Coaster Road Race : Sandusky, OH, April 22, 2027
Coast to Coaster is a long-distance road journey of approximately 232 miles held in the Sandusky, Ohio area. The event is run on public roads and is organized as a journey run; participants should not expect assistance from race staff and are responsible for their own safety and logistics.
Crew support is allowed. Crews may carry supplies for participants and crewed runners may shelter in a crew vehicle, but runners may not be transported by any vehicle. The organizer emphasizes safety and respect for other participants and local communities; participants who behave in ways that endanger safety can be removed from the course.
There are stores, restaurants, and hotels along the route, and runners must plan when to rest and where to resupply. All participants are provided with GPS trackers and receive a shareable link so family and friends can view location information. In past years the route included a stop for a tour of the Ohio State Reformatory; a similar stop may occur again or be replaced by another activity.
