Coast to Coaster Road Race (about 232 miles)
Coast to Coaster is a long road race based in Sandusky, Ohio. The event is described as a journey run in the spirit of HOTS or LAVS and covers roughly 232 miles on public roads. All participants are provided with trackers and receive a link to share their live location.
Runners should expect minimal race staff support. The route passes towns with stores, restaurants and hotels, so participants are responsible for planning sleep and resupply stops. In past years the route included a stop at the Ohio State Reformatory; the organizer may repeat this or include a similar stop.
Crews are allowed. Crews may carry supplies and crewed runners may shelter in their crew vehicle, but runners may not be transported by vehicle. Safety is the top priority and anyone behaving in a way that endangers themselves or others may be removed from the course. Participants are expected to treat fellow runners and local residents with respect.
Additional details note that this is an unassisted, self managed road journey and that common sense should be used on course. Entry fees are listed in a range and registration closes on April 18. The event takes place in Sandusky, OH. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
