NC Blueberry Festival 5K - Burgaw, NC
The NC Blueberry Festival 5K takes place on June 20, 2026, in historic downtown Burgaw. The run is part of the 23rd Annual North Carolina Blueberry Festival, which features live music, craft vendors, a car and truck show, a pie-eating contest, and fresh blueberries. The festival also includes a non-competitive bicycle ride called the Tour de Blueberry, and festival activities continue through the day as the race finishes.
Race offerings include a timed 5K and an untimed 1 Mile; participants may run or walk either event. A new Blueberry Cup, sponsored by the Burgaw Tourism Development Authority, will be presented to the top male and top female finishers and displayed at the Burgaw Visitors Center for the year. Street parking is limited; additional parking is available along the grassy railroad right-of-way between Dickerson and Dudley streets. The event benefits PATH, the Pender Alliance for Total Health, which provides school-based health centers and an integrated system of care for Pender County youth and their families.
