The 2026 National Tax Day 5k & 10k takes place on April 15, 2026 at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, VA. The event is part of the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and also counts toward the Spring Series. A virtual race option is available.

Course and race features
The course at Burke Lake Park is a newer, all-paved route. The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher’s medal and themed socks in place of shirts. Final race results with series points are posted to the organizer’s website on the Monday after the race, and live results are available during the event on Athlinks.
Logistics and support
Packet pickup is available at the event; arrival about one hour before the race is recommended. Race day registration is offered, with t-shirt sizes not guaranteed for same-day registrants. Water stations are placed along the courses: three on the 10k at about miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65, and one on the 5k at about mile 1.55; Gatorade may be available at some stations. Restrooms are located near Shelter A. The event benefits Semper Fi & America’s Fund.
Awards and extras
Top three men and top three women overall receive awards. Age-group awards are given for first and second place in these categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
