Event Details
The National Police Week 5K is a running event that includes both an in-person and a virtual 5K distance. The 20th annual event is scheduled for May 9, 2026. The in-person race takes place in Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, at the intersection of Army Navy Drive and South Eads Street. The event is hosted by the Officer Down Memorial Page (ODMP), a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring fallen law enforcement officers.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is available for individuals or teams. Packet pickup for in-person participants is available the day before the race at a Road Runner Sports store in Arlington and on race day at the event site starting at 7:00 AM. The race uses chip timing.
Course and Participation
The start and finish lines for the 5K are at the same location. The course is not USATF certified. Walkers, strollers, and leashed dogs are permitted on the course. There will be course markings and a water station. An area for dropping off personal belongings will be available at the event site, along with portable restrooms.
Awards and Additional Information
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to the top finisher in each male and female age group. The event is connected to the Project Active Armor movement, which encourages law enforcement officers to wear their protective vests.
