National Crime Victim Rights Week Awareness 5K

The National Crime Victim Rights Week (NCVRW) awareness event takes place in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Organized by the Elizabethtown Police Department Victim Services, this event supports local crime victims and highlights the importance of survivor advocacy and access to healing services. The gathering focuses on the theme of kinship as a foundation for victim advocacy and vital connections.

The event features several components held at the Elizabethtown Sports Park:

  • 3.1 Miles (5K)

Participation in the 3.1 Miles running race is free of charge. In addition to the race, a Community Resource Fair is held on-site. This fair includes multiple community partners who provide information and resources to attendees. The program also includes scheduled remarks from the Chief of Police and the Attorney General in support of crime victims.

Participants who register by April 6, 2026, receive a complimentary shirt and a run bag. The course is located at 1401 West Park Road, providing a venue for both the athletic event and the resource fair. Registration remains open until the start of the race on the day of the event.
