Event Overview

The Autism SpectRUN 5K is a community running and walking event. The 2026 edition will be its ninth annual event.

Location

The event takes place at the Elizabethtown Sports Park in Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

Event Distances

The event offers two registration options:

  • Autism SpectRUN 5K Run/Walk: A standard event with a registration fee of $30.
  • Autism SpectRUN 5K Run/Walk (Kids 9 & Under): A free event for children ages 1 to 9.

Beneficiary

All proceeds from the event benefit Camp TESSA of Hardin County. This is a week-long summer day camp for students with autism, focusing on social skills through activities like music, art, games, and field trips.

Participant Details

Participants in the standard 5K event who register by April 1st will receive a race t-shirt. T-shirts are not included for children in the free 9 & under category unless they are registered as a paid participant. Shirts must be picked up at packet pickup or on the day of the race. All runners receive a finisher's medal at the race finish. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female runners.

Packet pickup is scheduled for the day before the race at the Elizabethtown Sports Park soccer pavilion. Team fundraising is encouraged, with teams of 10 or more members receiving a $5 refund per member. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
