Nasty 9 Trail Run
The Nasty 9 Trail Run is a trail race held at Brushy Hills, a 600 acre watershed tract on the outskirts of Lexington, Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. The event uses the single track trail system maintained by the Friends of Brushy Hills and will raise funds for the Friends of Brushy Hills and for local school track and cross-country teams.
Online registration closes Thursday night; in-person registration is available at packet pickup at Lex Running Shop on the Friday before the race and at Race HQ on race day. Packet pickup details and race maps are provided by the organizer.
Distances offered:
- 9 mile course with over 2000 feet of vertical gain
- 4 mile course with about 500 feet of climbing
Race fees are listed by distance: the 9 mile entry and the 4 mile entry have separate fees. A student discount is available. Entrants receive a race shirt, post-race food, finishers awards, and age group awards. The parking area at Brushy Hills includes a kiosk and printed trail maps for participants arriving by road.
