Nashville Oktoberfest 5K Bier Run
The Nashville Oktoberfest 5K Bier Run takes place on October 3, 2026, in the Historic Germantown neighborhood of downtown Nashville at 7th Avenue North and Madison Street (700 Madison, Nashville, TN 37208). The event is part of the Nashville Oktoberfest festival and benefits the nonprofit Historic Germantown Neighborhood Association, a registered 501(c)(3). Race management is provided by the Nashville Striders.
Pre-registered racers receive a free race T-shirt, a free 20 oz. beer or wine token (21 plus with ID to redeem alcohol), and festival entry on race day. Packet pick-up is available at the 5K Race Registration Tent on 7th Avenue North at the intersection of 7th Avenue North and Jefferson Street on the Friday before the race and again the morning of the race.
Registration fees increase over time: $40 in July, $48 in August, $53 from September through October 1, $58 on-site October 2, and $65 on-site on October 3. On-site registration and packet pick-up locations are at the registration tent.
Awards are given to the top three overall finishers, top three masters, and top three finishers in five-year age groups. A Corporate Challenge awards the top three companies in each division by company size using cross-country scoring with age and gender handicaps. Course rules note that headphones are discouraged, strollers are lined up at the rear, pets are not allowed, and participants must complete the course within one hour. Parking is limited; a State of Tennessee lot at James Robertson Parkway and Rosa Parks Boulevard is approximately three blocks from the start area.
