Event Overview
The Barron Collier Companies Naples Half Marathon takes place in Naples, Florida. This USATF certified race features a single distance of 13.1 miles. The event is open to participants who are at least 13 years old. The course has a strict 3-hour time limit, requiring a minimum pace of 13:44 per mile. Participants who do not reach the finish within this timeframe are asked to move to the sidewalk for safety.
Participant Information
Registered runners receive a race shirt and free photos taken at various points along the course. Finishers who complete the race within the time limit receive a unique medal, with medals guaranteed for the first 1,600 finishers. The event provides free pacing services through MarathonPacing.com for various finish times ranging from 1:35 to 3:00.
For safety reasons, strollers and pets are not permitted on the course. To ensure the safety of all participants and volunteers, friends and family members are not allowed to cross the finish line or enter the finish chute with the athletes.
Awards and Recognition
The race offers a significant prize purse, including:
- A $10,000 purse for the top five male and female US citizens.
- A $5,500 purse for Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Grand Masters categories.
- Cash awards for age group winners and for breaking course, masters, or age group records.
- Awards are provided five deep across 28 different age groups.
Logistics
Packet pick-up is available on the Friday and Saturday preceding the race at Naples on the Run, as well as on race morning at Cambier Park. A post-race celebration featuring food, beverages, and music is held for participants. The event supports the Gulf Coast Runners Youth Development and Scholarship Fund.
