Napa Fall Wine Country Marathon - October 24, 2026
The 34th annual Napa Fall Wine Country event takes place at Bothe-Napa Valley State Park in Saint Helena, California. The event offers the following distances:
- Marathon
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
The race is limited to 300 participants and typically sells out each year. The course follows single-track trails through the park with hills, streams, and rocky sections. Course markings use orange ribbon at trail crossings and speakers should not assume the route from other runners. Hikers and walkers are welcome to participate.
There is one aid station at the start and finish area. Half marathon runners encounter it once between their two loops. Marathon runners see the aid station at miles 6, 10, 16, and 20. Participants are advised to carry water. The course cut-off time is six hours; pace thresholds are 13:45 minutes per mile for marathoners, 27:30 minutes per mile for half marathoners, and 58 minutes per mile for 10K runners.
T shirts are provided to all participants. Medals are awarded to all marathon and half marathon finishers. Personalized award ribbons for the top three male and female finishers in each age group are mailed a few weeks after the race. Bib numbers are mailed beginning two weeks before the event or can be picked up on race morning. Parking inside the park is $10 per vehicle; free overflow parking is available along Highway 29. Registrations are non refundable and non transferable. Refund protection must be purchased at checkout to apply; without it, cancellations by September 24, 2026 may receive a rollover credit minus a $20 fee, and after that date a doctor s note is required for credit. Headphones and other audio devices are not allowed on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
