Nantucket Half Marathon
The Nantucket Half Marathon takes place on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. The course begins and ends at the historic Bartlett's Farm. This event features a route through several distinct environments, including sandy beach roads, local bike paths, and neighborhood streets.
Participants run through the Nantucket Land Bank's Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve, which contains a globally rare sand plain grassland ecosystem. The course route offers views of the ocean and includes some sections with sandy terrain. The half marathon distance is designed as a two-loop course.
The event includes the following distances:
- 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
- 400 Yards (Kids Run)
The kids run is a sprint race covering approximately 0.25 miles. It is open to children between the ages of 2 and 10. Participants in the youth race receive a pumpkin from the farm.
Participants who complete their registration before September 1st are guaranteed an event t-shirt. After this date, shirts are distributed based on remaining availability.
