Runnin' for a Cause, Not from the Cops
Runnin' for a Cause, Not from the Cops is a community-focused athletic event organized by the Nantucket Police Charitable Association. The event takes place at Surfside Beach in Nantucket and features both in-person and virtual participation options.

The race serves as a fundraiser for local initiatives on Nantucket. Proceeds from the event support various community programs, including scholarships for high school seniors and alumni, the annual Children's Christmas Party, and youth programs. Funds also benefit the Pink Patch project, which supports the Marla Ceely Lamb fund, and other local community-based organizations.
Participants in the in-person event start and finish at the Surfside Beach Parking Lot. The event recognizes athletic performance by awarding prizes to the top three male and female finishers.
Registration is available for both path and virtual participants. For those attending in person, bib pick-up is scheduled at the Nantucket Police Department Lobby on the day before the race, as well as on the morning of the event at the race location.
