Nail the Rail Half Marathon, 10K & 5K
The event takes place at the base of Shasta Dam near Shasta Lake on the Sacramento Rail Trail, a converted Southern Pacific Railroad track that runs for over 11 miles. The course follows the river and Keswick Lake and is described as very flat.

Start and finish are at the Chappie OHV area at the base of Shasta Dam. The course crosses Shasta Dam and then follows the road down to the OHV area. Field size is limited to 500 entrants.
The half marathon has a cutoff time of 3 hours 15 minutes. Finisher awards are given to half marathon finishers; awards are three deep in age groups and include overall awards. Packet pickup and registration are available the day before the event on Friday the 23rd from 11:00 to 15:00 at Redding Fleet Feet Store, 1376 Hilltop Dr. Race day registration and packet pickup open at 7:00 at the OHV area.
