The Nail the Rail Half Marathon, 10K & 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Shasta Lake, California. The event offers three race distances.

Course Information
All races use the Sacramento Rail Trail, a flat path converted from a former Southern Pacific Railroad track. The trail starts at the base of Shasta Dam and runs for over 11 miles, offering views along the Sacramento River and Keswick Lake.
The start and finish area is located at the Chappie OHV area at the base of Shasta Dam. A cutoff time of 3 hours and 15 minutes is in place for the half marathon.
Participant Information
The total field for the event is limited to 400 participants. Half marathon finishers receive a finisher award. Additional awards are given three deep in age groups, plus overall awards.
Packet pickup and registration are available on Friday, April 24, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Redding Fleet Feet Store (1376 Hilltop Dr). Race day packet pickup and registration open at 7:00 AM at the OHV area. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
