Event Overview
The Nags Head Sunrise 5k Beach Race Series takes place at the Epstein St. Beach Access in Nags Head, North Carolina. This event is held on the expansive shores of the Outer Banks and is designed to be family and walker friendly. Participants run or walk directly on the beach while observing the sunrise.
Distances
- 5k: A chip-timed beach run for adults and youth.
- 1 Mile: A shorter distance option available for all participants.
Participation Details
The event is open to all registration levels with no specific qualification requirements. Race fees cover the chip-timed race, an event t-shirt, and a finisher medal. Following the conclusion of the events, a cold breakfast and refreshments are provided on-site. There is no pre-race day packet pickup; instead, check-in and walk-up registration occur on the morning of the event at the race location between 7:00 AM and 7:45 AM.
Awards
Awards for the 5k event are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Additionally, recognition is given to the first place male and female finishers in the 14 and under category, as well as the Masters category for those aged 40 and over.
