The Nacogdoches Multicultural Festival 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Nacogdoches, Texas. This is the third annual edition of the event.
Distances
The event offers two distances:
- A 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk.
- A 1-mile run/walk.
Course and Location
Both courses start and finish at the same location. Participants gather in the parking lot of St. Mary's Church, located at 214 Wettermark Street. The routes wind through the SFA (Stephen F. Austin State University) campus.
The Festival
The race is the opening event for the Multicultural Festival weekend, which is held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Appleby Sand Road. The festival, celebrating its 35th year, features food from various cultures (including Filipino, Mexican, Vietnamese, Indian, German, and American), live music, dance performances, a silent auction, a raffle, local vendors, bounce houses, and a petting zoo. The festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
Additional Information
An awards ceremony is held after each race to recognize winners in various categories. Packet pickup is available on the day of the race, starting at 6:30 a.m. at the start location.
