NABJ 5K Run/Walk
The NABJ 5K Run/Walk is a 3.1 mile in-person event and a virtual 3.1 mile option held as part of the 2026 NABJ Convention & Career Fair in Atlanta, Georgia. The in-person route is set at Lee & White on the Westside Beltline, 1020 White Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310.
Participants include convention attendees, journalists, media professionals, students, educators, families, and community supporters. The event is professionally chip timed by runningnerds, LLC. Registration for the in-person event opens 7/3/2026 and registration for the virtual option opens 6/22/2026; both registration periods close on 8/15/2026. Registration fees are listed as $35 for NABJ members and $40 for friends of NABJ.
Registration includes an official commemorative race T-shirt, a finisher medal, professional chip timing, complimentary shuttle transportation from the Atlanta Marriott Marquis for registered participants staying at that hotel, and a post-race celebration. Commemorative shirts and medals are available while supplies last.
A portion of the event proceeds will benefit NABJ's Journalism Student Projects (JSHOP), a training and mentoring program for journalism students and early-career media professionals.
