Mythic Race 2026
The Mythic Race is an obstacle course event taking place in Sikeston, Missouri. The course covers a distance of 5k (approximately 3.1 miles) and features over 25 obstacles. The event supports Heart of the Bride Ministries and offers several ways to participate based on individual preference and competition level.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 5 Hour Endurance Wave: A multi-lap event where participants complete as many laps of the 5k course as possible within the five-hour time limit. The first lap is eligible for 5k awards.
- Competitive 5k: A single-lap timed race with specific obstacle rules. Participants are released in waves of 3 to 5 minutes.
- Open 5k Waves: Non-competitive waves focused on participation. Obstacle-specific rules are optional, and there are no penalties for skipped obstacles.
- Child 1.5 Miles: A shorter course for children under 13 years old. Participants must be accompanied by an adult at a maximum 2:1 child-to-adult ratio and stay within 20 feet of their guardian.
- Virtual 5k: Remote participation options are available, with some specific to Heartland Elite OCR Series qualifiers or local pickup.
All participants in the on-site events receive a finisher medal and a t-shirt. The competitive and endurance categories feature podium prizes for the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as age group awards for the competitive 5k.
