Huskers 5K - East Prairie, MO
The Huskers 5K is a community running event held on June 26, 2026, in East Prairie, Missouri, in conjunction with the East Prairie Main Street Party and Sweet Corn Festival. The race begins and ends at the East Prairie Chamber of Commerce / Body Fx Gym, located at 106 Washington in East Prairie. Free street parking is available nearby, though parking may be more crowded because of the festival.
Registration options include online pre-registration and on-site registration the evening of the event on a first come, first served basis. Pre-registration includes an official Huskers 5K t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by June 12 and extras are available while supplies last. Entry fees vary by registration period; race day and onsite fees are higher. Organizers hope to accept credit cards onsite, and recommend bringing cash or check as a backup.
The course is flat and follows well-marked city streets, sidewalks, and rural highways. Participants must obey all traffic laws. For safety on open roads, no pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed. Race officials will be stationed along the route and ATV support will be present. Printed course maps will be available at packet pickup. Multiple water stations are provided along the course, and portable restrooms plus running water facilities are available at the start/finish location.
