Huskers 5K Run
The Huskers 5K Run takes place in East Prairie, Missouri. This event is held in conjunction with local community celebrations including the East Prairie Main Street Party and Sweet Corn Festival. The race is open to runners and walkers of all ages and proceeds regardless of weather conditions.
The course follows a flat route through the area. Participants travel along a variety of surfaces including city streets, sidewalks, and rural highways. The route is well-marked, and race officials provide support along the way, including the use of ATVs. For safety reasons on these open roads, pets, bicycles, and rollerblades are not permitted. Multiple water stations are positioned along the course to support participants.
The start and finish lines are located at the East Prairie Chamber of Commerce and Body Fx Gym at 106 S. Washington. Facilities at this location include portable restrooms and running water. Free street parking is available in the vicinity, though local festival activities may impact parking availability.

The event concludes with an awards ceremony. Recognition is given to the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are provided for various age groups ranging from 10 and under to 70 and over. Participants who register by the mid-June deadline receive an official event t-shirt.
