Huskers 5K - East Prairie, MO
The Huskers 5K is a community road race held in conjunction with the East Prairie Main Street Party & Sweet Corn Festival. The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and includes awards for top overall male and female finishers as well as age-group awards in standard age brackets.
The start and finish are organized at the East Prairie Chamber of Commerce and Body Fx Gym in East Prairie, MO. Registration tables and packet distribution are set up at the gym. Free street parking is available nearby; participants should allow extra time for parking due to the festival.
Registration is offered online and on-site the evening of the event on a first-come, first-served basis. Pricing tiers are Early Bird through May 15 for $20, May 16 through June 12 for $25, and Race Day/Onsite for $30. Pre-registration includes an official Huskers 5K t-shirt; shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by June 12 and additional shirts may be available while supplies last. Credit card payment may be available on-site but cash or check are recommended as backup.
The course follows a flat, well-marked route along city streets, sidewalks, and rural highways. For safety, participants must obey traffic laws and no pets, bicycles, or rollerblades are allowed on the course. Race officials and ATV support will be stationed along the route.
