Myrtle Beach Memorial Weekend 5K and Remembrance Walk
The Myrtle Beach Memorial Weekend 5K and Remembrance Walk takes place on May 30, 2027 at Broadway at the Beach. The event offers a timed 5K route and a separate remembrance walk, both routed around the Broadway at the Beach area.
Course options include:
- 5K: two loops around Broadway at the Beach
- Remembrance Walk: one loop around Broadway at the Beach
The event is held in honor and memory of the men and women who lost their lives in service to the country. It emphasizes remembrance and community recognition of sacrifice, service, and freedom.
Participants of all ages and abilities are welcome. Walkers and runners complete the designated loops at their own pace in a shared community setting. The format separates the 5K and the remembrance walk by loop count, allowing participants to choose the distance that fits their plans.
Organizers present the event as a way for the community to gather and pay tribute, with stated themes of memory and honor for those who gave their lives in service. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
