MV Spring Classic Marathon and Half Marathon
The event takes place in Oak Bluffs on Martha's Vineyard, with a start/finish area near 100 Edgartown-Vineyard Haven Rd. It offers two race distances:
- 26.2 Miles full marathon
- 13.1 Miles half marathon
Both courses run on the island and include ocean views and the natural scenery of the island center. The courses are described as generally flat and fast; the marathon course includes a couple of rolling hills.
The event is capped at 600 runners total. It is a USATF sanctioned race and requires participants to be at least 16 years old. All proceeds are distributed to local youth organizations and sports teams; island youth help staff aid stations and cheer along the course. No dogs or strollers are permitted on the course.
Registration windows and fees are set in advance. Marathon registration opens 2026-09-25 and closes 2026-12-28 with a fee of $105. Half marathon registration opens 2026-09-18 and closes 2026-12-28 with a fee of $75. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
