Event overview
Mutts & Marshmallows is scheduled as an in-person event in Cary, NC (27511) on January 10, 2026, with a virtual option held January 3–10, 2026. The event supports the SPCA of Wake County. Finishers of the 5K, 8K, and Fun Mile receive a ceramic mug and a finishers medal (guaranteed for registrations by December 28). Dog participation requires a separate add-on registration and a $10 dog fee; the full $10 goes to the SPCA of Wake County. New insurance guidelines limit one dog per registered runner, require dogs to remain on leash, and restrict dogs to the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 8K. Children 12 and younger are not permitted in the Doggie Dash races. RaceJoy will be available for live GPS tracking, progress alerts, and virtual results for virtual events.
