Mutt Strut - Tails Humane Society
Mutt Strut is a charity walk and run held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at Hopkins Park in DeKalb, Illinois. The event offers distinct course options and welcomes participants to bring their dogs.

Proceeds from the event benefit Tails Humane Society and support the roughly 2,200 homeless pets the organization cares for each year. Funds are used for daily care needs including food and litter as well as medical needs such as medicine and surgical procedures. The event is organized as a fun run and walk and will not be officially timed; participants may receive ribbons.
Packet pick up is available the day before the event and on race day. Race day parking is available in park district or pool lots, and an additional lot is available across Sycamore Road at Zana’s Wood Fire Pizza with a pedestrian tunnel for crossing.
By attending, participants grant Tails Humane Society the right to photograph or record their likeness for promotional, educational, or fundraising use.
