About the race
Mutt Strut is a community walk and fun run held at Hopkins Park in DeKalb, Illinois. The event on September 12, 2026 offers a choice of a short community walk and a 5K course. Dogs are welcome to participate.
Participation benefits Tails Humane Society. Proceeds support daily care for animals, including food, litter, medicine, and surgical procedures, and the event contributes to the organization’s work with about 2,200 homeless pets cared for each year.
