Mustang's Milestone 5K
Mustang's Milestone 5K marks the 10th anniversary of Hallie Wells Middle School in Clarksburg. The event is a 3.1 Miles running, jogging, and walking event with start and finish at Hallie Wells Middle School, and a route that goes through Ovid Hazen Wells Recreational Park where participants pass the historic National Mall carousel associated with the school's namesake. The event location is 11701 Little Seneca Parkway, Clarksburg, MD 20871.
All proceeds will fund educational resources and the school's end of year 10th anniversary celebration. The event is open to students, families, neighbors, and community members. Award categories include overall top three male and female finishers, student age groups with top three male and female in each group, and adult age groups. Student and age categories specified include future Mustangs age 10 and under, middle schoolers ages 11 to 14, high school and alumni ages 15 to 18, and adult groups ages 19 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, and 60 and up.
Registration opens July 15. Entry pricing is structured as early bird before September 15 ($25 adults, $15 students and kids), regular registration September 16 to October 15 ($30 adults, $20 students and kids), race day rates ($35 adults, $25 students and kids), and a family bundle for five members at $75.
