Mustang Music 5K
The event on October 3, 2026 takes place at Kinard Middle School, 3002 E Trilby Rd, Fort Collins, CO. It includes a chip-timed 5K, a kids Reverse Parade/Fun Run, and a non-participant T-shirt entry.
- 5K - chip-timed race through neighborhoods near Kinard Middle School
- 1 Mile Fun Run - two laps around the Kinard track for children 10 and under
- ZEROK T-shirt Only - non participant shirt, pickup required in Fort Collins
The 5K shows nearby neighborhood scenery and features live music along the course provided by the Kinard and Fort Collins High bands. Prizes are awarded by category. The entry fee for the 5K is $35.
The Reverse Parade/Fun Run is intended for children ages 10 and under and for non-runners. Participants walk or run two laps around the Kinard track while musical groups surround the track. Entry includes a short-sleeved tech t-shirt. Parents of very young children may run with their child on the track. The kids entry fee is $20.
The Mustang Music ZEROK option is a non-participant shirt entry with proceeds supporting the band; shirts must be picked up in Fort Collins. The ZEROK fee is $30.
Registration opens August 31, 2026. Early bird pricing and race packet/t-shirt delivery before the race apply to registrations completed by September 13, 2026. Online registration closes September 20, 2026, and on-site registration is available on race day. Registrations after September 13 will receive T-shirts 2 to 3 weeks after the race.
