About the race
The 2026 Muskoka Marathon is a multi-distance running weekend centered at Santa's Village in Bracebridge, Ontario. Events take place on October 3 and October 4, 2026, with races routed along the Muskoka River on courses described as flat and scenic. The weekend is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario and the marathon course is certified as a 2028 BQ course.

Courses are primarily out and back along the river; the marathon is a double out and back. Hydration stations are provided approximately every 2.5 km. Marathon participants receive race services including a GPS-enabled race bib, a wooden finisher's medallion, emailed results, and a running shoe bag; marathoners are shuttled from free parking to Santa's Village and the marathon cut-off time is five hours.
Event operations note that all races start and finish at Santa's Village. Temporary single-lane traffic restrictions will be in effect during race activities, with certified flaggers and OPP officers managing traffic control and access to properties and businesses maintained. The weekend also features family activities at Santa's Village, a live DJ, and event announcements by an MC.
