Muskoka Marathon 2026
The Muskoka Marathon takes place October 3 and 4, 2026 at Santa's Village in Bracebridge, Ontario. The event is spread over two days and offers a range of distances.
- Marathon 42.2 km double out and back along the Muskoka River
- Half marathon out and back along the Muskoka River
- 10 km out and back
- 5 km out and back
- 1.5 km Kids' Run
The course is described as flat and scenic, running along the Muskoka River. The route is certified as a 2028 BQ course and the event is sanctioned by Athletics Ontario. Hydration stations are provided every 2.5 km. Marathon participants are shuttled from free parking to Santa's Village. The marathon has a five hour cut off.
Race packages vary by event and include items such as a GPS enabled race bib, a wooden finisher's medallion, emailed time results, and a race shoe bag for longer distances. The kids run includes a wooden finisher medallion and an event keepsake.
The event supports Campfire Circle; the fundraising total shown is CA$6,901.10 toward a CA$50,000.00 goal.
Traffic management for the weekend includes single lane restrictions, certified flaggers and OPP officers. Organizers state there will be no full road closures and access to properties and businesses will be maintained. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
